Kehadiran ponsel full touchscreen seakan menendang ponsel dengan keyboard QWERTY dari persaingan pasar. Alasannya sederhana: full-touchscreen berarti layar lebih besar, sehingga ponsel dapat lebih dinikmati. Namun tetap saja ada yang tak betah dengan ponsel dengan layar sentuh penuh. Orang-orang dengan jari besar atau yang tak terbiasa dengan layar sentuh akan sangat kerepotan dengan salah ketik yang terjadi.

Namun bukan berarti tak ada yang peduli dengan hal tersebut. Samsung sempat merilis ponsel hybrid antara touchscreen dengan keyboard QWERTY. Namun saat itu ponsel ini memiliki kekurangan berupa prosesor yang kurang mumpuni dan layarnya yang beresolusi rendah. Blackberry mencoba peruntungan di pangsa pasar hibrida touchscreen QWERTY dengan merilis Blackberry Keyone, atau lebih tepatnya Blackberry Keyone Mercury.

Ponsel ini tampil dengan elegan, dengan desain premium yang memancarkan eksklusivitas. Di sisi belakang bodi Keyone tampil dengan desain doff. Yang tak hanya mudah digenggam, pun tak meninggalkan bekas sidik jari.

Di depan, Blackberry Keyone dibekali layar IPS LCD 16 juta warna berukuran 4.5 inchi. Sekilas tampak tidak terlalu besar, namun dengan keyboard fisik, layar Anda tak akan terganggu dengan keyboard visual lagi. Ngomong-ngomong tentang keyboard, jika Anda mengamati tombol spasi di keyboard, Anda akan melihat sedikit tekstur yang beda dari tombol lain. Itu adalah fingerprint scanner.

Kamera ponsel ini diadaptasi dari Google Pixel. Hasilnya lumayan, namun minim fitur. Jika Anda berada dalam lingkungan temaram, Dual LED siap membantu menerangi.
