Sejak dari dulu Huawei memang selalu memberikan penawaran baru pada ponsel terbarunya. Seperti yang terjadi pada 2015, tepatnya bulan Mei, Huawei mengenalkan ponsel terbarunya bernama Honor Bee. Ponsel ini belum mendukung jaringan 4G pada masa itu. Dimensinya berkisar 134.3 x 66.7 x 10 mm. Menariknya adalah Honor Bee ini sudah mendukung untuk penggunaan Dual SIM dengan tipe Micro SIM.

Karena memiliki target market kelas rendah sampai menengah, display layarnya masih menggunakan teknologi TFT capacitive touchscreen dengan 16 juta warna. Adapun ukurannya adalah 4.5 inches yang pada saat itu sudah lumayan besar. Untuk resolusinya adalah 480 x 854 pixels. Sistem operasi yang dijalankan adalah Android 4.4.2 (Kitkat) dengan tampilan antar muka khas Honor, yaitu EMUI Lite 3.

Dapur utamanya disokong oleh chipset dari Spreadtrum SC7731 dengan CPU Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7. Sebagai pendukung grafiknya, Honor Bee menggunakan GPU dari Mali-400MP2. Sayangnya kinerjanya bisa dibilang kurang optimal, karena hanya disokong oleh RAM sebesar 1 GB saja.

Beralih ke sektor fotografinya, kamera utamanya memiliki resolusi 8 MP dengan feature Dual-LED flash, panorama. Kamera utamanya mampu mengambil video hingga kualitas 1080p@30fps. Sedangkan untuk kamera selfienya hanya dibekali single kamera dengan resolusi 2 MP saja. Adapun untuk memory penyimpanannya disediakan 8 GB saja. Akan tetapi sudah support untuk penambahan microSD hingga 32 GB.

Daya tahan batterynya masih kecil, yaitu hanya sebesar 1730 mAh. Salah satu kelebihannya adalah batterynya dapat dilepas. Artinya jika terjadi kerusakan pada battery, maka bisa diganti dengan yang baru lagi. Honor Bee tersedia dalam 2 warna saja, yaitu Hitam dan Putih.
