Ini dia salah satu smartphone Oppo dari tahun 2012. Oppo R817 Real hadir di tahun 2012 dengan harga satu jutaan. Memang spesifikasi smartphone 2012 tidak dapat dibandingkan dengan smartphone sekarang. Namun bila kita lihat smartphone ini di tahunnya maka harga yang ditawarkan dan spesifikasi yang diberikan melebihi ekspetasi. Karena Oppo R817 Real hadir di tahun 2012 maka tidak terdapat teknologi 4G LTE.

Oppo R817 Real memiliki bentuk yang tidak begitu besar sehingga nyaman digenggam dengan satu tangan dan mudah dimasukan dalam kantong. Karena bodynya tidak terlalu besar maka layanya juga tidak terlalu lebar. Oppo R817 Real memiliki layar 4.0 inches. Resolusi yang dimilikinya adalah resolusi standar di tahunnya yaitu 480 x 800 pixel.

Ternyata walau Oppo R817 Real risil di tahun 2012 kamera yang dimiliki smartphone ini sangat baik. Dengan 8 MP primary camera akan menghasilkan gambar yang tajam dan jernih. Terdapat juga LED Flash. Sayangnya kamera depan yang dimiliki Oppo R817 Real ini tidak terlalu bagus yaitu VGA camera. Namun hal itu wajar mengingat harga dan kelebihannya di primary camera.

Oppo R817 Real ini ditunjang dengan dua prosesor (Dual-core). Clock speed yang dimiliki smartphone ini adalah 1.0 GHz. Dengan RAM 1 GB cukup untuk menjalankan aplikasi sederhana. Sedangkan kapasitas memori internalnya sebesar 4 GB dan dapat ditambah memori eksternal hingga 32 GB. Kapasitas baterai yang dimiliki Oppo R817 Real ini sebesar 1,710 mAh. Sudah cukup untuk menyuplai daya kepada Oppo R817 Real selama sahari. Operating system yang bekerja dalam smartphone ini adalah Andorid Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4.
