Seperti Xperia Z3 sebelumnya, Xperia Z5 Compact menempatkan rangkaian fitur hebat dengan nyaman ke telapak tangan Anda, dan membuat Anda bertanya-tanya mengapa tidak ada merek lain yang tertarik dengan ceruk pasar handphone ukuran compact ini.

Meski lebih kecil, Sony Xperia Z5 Compact berukuran lebih tebal dibanding kedua saudaranya. Panel belakang jauh lebih bagus pada model Compact ini. Alih-alih kaca bening seperti handset pendahulunya, kini ada kaca buram yang terasa enak menempel di telapak tangan dan terlihat stylish.

Sudut telah dibulatkan lebih jauh lagi di Xperia Z5 daripada di Z3 Compact, membuatnya lebih nyaman di tangan. Bemper anti pecah dari Xperia Z5 tidak disertakan di sini, jadi Compact lebih rentan pecah jika jatuh di salah satu dari empat sudutnya.
