Beberapa bulan yang lalu, BlackBerry merilis smartphone BlackBerry Bold 9700. Saat itu, tidak sedikit pemakai yang ramai-ramai bermigrasi ke Bold 9700 dari BlackBerry tipe sebelumnya, semisal 8900, 8320, dan beda sebagainya. Akan tetapi, saat yang bersamaan pula, tidak sedikit para pemakai Blackberry Bold 9000 yang “ogah” beralih hati ke Bold 9700 dan bahkan 9780. Apa alasannya?

Dimensi keyboard yang dipunyai oleh Bold 9000 dan 9700 (beserta 9780 dan 9790) memang berbeda. Bold 9000 mempunyai dimensi keyboard yang lebih besar sehingga untuk sejumlah orang, lebarnya masing-masing tombol yang ditekan membuat sensasi mereka nyaman. Oleh karena tersebut pula, RIM hendak menjawab keperluan mereka dengan menerbitkan BlackBerry Bold 9930 yang mempunyai kode Dakota.

BlackBerry yang satu ini mempunyai dimensi keyboard yang serupa dengan Bold 9000 sehingga membuatnya lebih nyaman guna digunakan. Ditambah dengan layar sentuh dan OS 7 terbaru menciptakan para pemakai Bold 9000 susah untuk tidak memilih upgrade. Smartphone ini lebih cepat berkat prosesor berkecepatan tinggi Snapdragon dengan clock 1,2 GHz pada SoC MSM 8655.

Memori internal yang terpasang sebesar 8 GB kelihatannya sudah lebih dari pantas untuk Anda bila ingin menyimpan segala data. Bagi RAM-nya telah terpasang sebesar 768 MB yang nantinya dapat menciptakan perangkat ini dapat berlangsung tanpa lag. Bagi sistem operasinya pasti saja sudah memakai OS teranyar versi 7.0. Sebuah upgrade path untuk semua pemakai Bold 9000 telah tiba.

Memang ketika menggunakannya, terasa bahwa BlackBerry Bold Touch 9930 atau Dakota ini mempunyai tingkat ergonomis yang tinggi di mana dimensi keyboard yang lebih banyak membuat orang dengan jari besar seperti saya bisa mengetik dengan paling nyaman. Kinerjanya juga jauh bertolak belakang dibandingkan dengan BlackBerry Bold 9000 maupun 9700.

Dengan pemakaian SoC dari Qualcomm sepertinya menciptakan smartphone ini muncul tanpa lag serta tingkat responsivitas yang tinggi. Hal tersebut tentu saja sebab prosesor yang terpasang pada SoC ini mempunyai kecepatan 1,2 GHz. Dari memainkan musik sampai video dengan resolusi 720p bakal terasa nyaman, walaupun Anda mesti melihatnya pada layar yang sebesar 2,8 inci saja.

Dengan banyaknya model dan tipe dari smartphone BlackBerry, memang pada akhirnya semua calon pembeli harus memilih cocok dengan selera (dan budget yang dimiliki). Sudah pasti Blackberry Bold Touch 9930 sesuai untuk orang yang mempunyai jari besar sebab dimensi keyboard yang sangat besar salah satu semua Blackberry yang ada. Akan tetapi, ketika terbentur masalah dana, kelihatannya smartphone ini bukan guna Anda. Masih tidak sedikit pilihan lainnya dalam berkomunikasi melewati smartphone Blackberry.
